We are seeking a Senior Executive Assistant with 15+ years of experience supporting C-suite leadership to provide trusted, highly sophisticated support to Topsoe’s Chief Sustainability & External Affairs Officer. This role is for a seasoned executive partner—who can operate confidently and with meticulous attention to detail in supporting a senior leader responsible for many critical corporate functions. The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, globally complex environment is a must.

 

This role goes far beyond traditional administrative support. The Senior Executive Assistant will act as a central coordination and execution hub enabling the Chief Sustainability & External Affairs Officer whose portfolio includes the corporate strategy, strategy execution, marketing, brand, communications, public affairs, sustainability, product stewardship, and external partnerships organizations. The position requires exceptional judgment, anticipation, discretion, and the ability to manage complexity across multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and geographies. It will include coordinating inputs across teams, preparing executives for high-stakes internal and external engagements, and ensuring follow-through on complex initiatives that span the organization.

 

In addition to managing highly complex calendars and logistics, the role will lead the development of C-suite–level briefing materials, support senior leadership engagement at major global forums, and oversee key administrative and coordination processes that underpin effective executive decision-making. The successful candidate will a trusted partner to senior leaders.

The Senior Executive Assistant will:

 

  • Serve as primary executive support to the Chief Sustainability & External Affairs Officer managing highly complex, dynamic calendars, priorities, and logistics across global time zones.
  • Oversee all executive logistics, including travel planning, itineraries, meeting logistics (including for complex major global events like the annual World Economic Forum meeting in Davos), expense reporting, invoice processing, and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Act as a coordination point across functions, working closely with teams in strategy, communications, brand, marketing, public affairs, sustainability, product stewardship and the businesses to align inputs, timelines, and priorities.
  • Lead complex administrative and project management processes, including managing projects related to annual budget development, corporate strategy and market intelligence, executive and board strategy presentation coordination, tracking of priorities and commitments, and continuous improvement of executive support processes.
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality C-suite materials, including briefing memos, presentations, talking points, speeches, background research, and executive summaries across strategy, sustainability, communications, public affairs, product stewardship and other functional areas.
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the effectiveness of senior leadership.

 

What You Will Bring:

 

  • 15+ years of experience in a senior executive assistant or equivalent executive support role, with sustained experience supporting C-suite executives in complex, global organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to support executives with broad portfolios, including strategy, communications, marketing, brand, public affairs, and sustainability.
  • Proven experience preparing executive-level briefing materials and coordinating inputs from multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage high volumes of competing priorities with precision and calm under pressure.
  • Strong project management capability, including experience coordinating cross-functional processes and executive-level deliverables.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion, judgment, and professionalism; trusted to manage highly confidential information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience; graduate degree preferred.
