Licensing Manager – Korea and Japan

The role and impact

South Korea and Japan are very attractive markets with significant growth potential – especially within our sustainable technologies, such as green and blue hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, and ammonia cracking, as well as renewable diesel and/or SAF.

You will join a strong sales team providing services to clients and partners worldwide within the syngas chemicals  industries. Our sales activities are conducted on a highly technical and international level.

We work in an informal, global and ambitious environment collaborating with a strong network of specialists both inside and outside the organization. The industries and markets that we serve are rapidly changing and it is therefore necessary that we challenge ourselves continuously and adapt to new conditions faster than the market and faster than our competitors.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Generating leads and managing licensing opportunities in the region
  • Conducting market investigations and exploring opportunities, with a focus on sustainable technologies such as green and blue hydrogen, ammonia and methanol as well as renewable fuels
  • Monitoring and following up on green energy market development trends in the region
  • Promoting Topsoe and its solutions in the region
  • Establishing strong relationships at all relevant levels with key players and potential customers in the region
  • Developing close relationships with key decision-makers including within government organisations and relevant private companies
  • Defining and implementing the market and sales strategy for the region
  • Attending trade shows, conferences and other industry-related events as required

Qualifications

You have a degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar background. You have experience or an interest in technical sales, or you have technical experience from working with process or mechanical design, with 5-15 years of experience in a similar role. Experience with contract negotiations is preferable. Fluency in Korean and a high degree of proficiency in English is a requirement. Proficiency in Japanese is preferred.
