PLM Trainee – Digital Product Configuration & Environment Support
Role And Impact:
Join our Digital Product Configuration team at Topsoe as a PLM Trainee, where you will play a key role in supporting our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and ensuring the smooth operations. You will act as a bridge between PLM users and infrastructure teams, troubleshoot issues, and enable digital processes that drive Topsoe’s mission of sustainable solutions. This role offers hands-on experience with enterprise PLM tools, scripting, environment management, and AI-assisted automation. Your core responsibilities will include learning and applying data modeling and configuration techniques for PLM systems, assisting in customizations using scripting languages such as JavaScript, and supporting configurations under guidance. You will provide timely assistance to PLM users, troubleshoot application issues, and ensure smooth operations. Additionally, you will maintain and monitor non-production environments (development, testing, sandbox), coordinate deployments, and act as a liaison between the PLM team and Server/Security/Infrastructure teams for environment maintenance and troubleshooting. Organizing product families, visualizing product structures for configurability, maintaining technical documentation, supporting reporting requirements, and exploring AI-assisted tools like ChatGPT, Jupyter, and Python for automation and efficiency are also key aspects of this role.
What You Will Bring:
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Computer Science, Information Technology, Chemical, or related fields) and bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You have a basic understanding of data structures and are eager to learn PLM-specific configurations. Exposure to JavaScript and/or Python for scripting and automation, as well as familiarity with SQL for data queries, will be valuable. You are comfortable troubleshooting technical issues, communicating effectively with cross-functional teams, and using Agile tools such as Azure DevOps for Scrum boards and task tracking. An interest in AI-driven tools for efficiency and innovation, along with knowledge of PLM concepts or a keen interest in product lifecycle management, will help you thrive in this role.
