Who we’re looking for 

As a Senior Scientific Computing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our digital transformation journey. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining scientific computing applications, managing high-performance computing (HPC) environments, and supporting the integration of AI technologies within our R&D processes. Your expertise in Python, HPC, and networking will be essential in driving our digitalization agenda forward. 
 
Key Responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain Python applications and scripts to support scientific computing and data analysis. 

• Manage and optimize MongoDB databases for efficient data storage and retrieval. 

• Utilize Docker for containerization and deployment of applications. 

• Administer and maintain Linux-based systems to ensure high availability and performance. 

• Use Git for version control and collaboration with the development team. 

• Manage HPC environments using Slurm for job scheduling and MPI for networking. 

• Implement and manage Ansible for configuration management and automation. 

• Ensure robust networking infrastructure to support HPC and AI workloads. 

• Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automation and system management. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including those based in Denmark, to support the digitalization of R&D. 

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in scientific computing, AI, and related technologies. 

What you’ll bring 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field. 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration. 

• At least 5 years of experience with MPI/HPC networking. 

• 5 years of experience with Ansible for configuration management. 

• 5 years of experience in networking. 

• 4 years of experience in Python scripting. 

• 4 years of experience with Git for version control. 

• 3 years of experience in Python application development. 

• 3 years of experience with Docker for containerization. 

• 3 years of experience with Slurm or other HPC queuing systems. 

• 3 years of experience with Bash scripting. 

• 2 years of experience with MongoDB. 

• Strong understanding of scientific computing and AI technologies. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams. 
   

Preferred Qualifications 

• Understanding of Topsoe's business areas, particularly in engineering or chemistry. 

• Experience in digitalization projects within R&D environments. 

• Background in physics or related scientific disciplines.
