Senior Specialist- Value Chain Optimisation

Role and impact:

As a Senior Specialist in Value Chain Optimization, you will be a key member of our Global team, focusing on technology solutions and proprietary hardware. Your role will have a broad impact across the technology value chain, where you will:

    • Implement governance for Value Engineering (VE), Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), and Root Cause Analyses (RCA), including reporting standards, follow-up actions, and handover processes after project completion.
    • Prepare management reports and decision materials for VE, FMECA, and RCA projects.
    • Drive VE initiatives across the portfolio to reduce costs and lead times for technology offerings.
    • Lead hardware robustness initiatives with experts from Global Supply, Global Commercial, and Research and Development (R&D), including Technology Product Managers, Technology Chief Engineers, Technology Managers, and other specialists.
    • Facilitate RCA sessions to identify root causes, mitigation, and prevention measures for complex problems or critical customer complaints.
    • Train and coach colleagues in facilitation and application of Value Chain Optimization methodologies, ensuring knowledge transfer and capability building across the organization.

Your work will directly support the optimization of our technology value chain, enhance project outcomes, and strengthen our ability to deliver innovative solutions to customers worldwide.

 

What you will bring:
To thrive in this position, you will combine a strong technical foundation with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. You are comfortable navigating complex technical, industrial, or engineering environments and have a track record of facilitating collaboration and driving results across diverse teams.

Specifically, you will bring:

    • Proven experience in facilitation, networking, project controls, project support, or management reporting.
    • Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional communication, and presentation skills.
    • Deep understanding of governance, reporting, risk management, and follow-up processes.
    • Hands-on experience leading Value Engineering (VE), Root Cause Analyses (RCA), and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) initiatives.

Your approach is structured and analytical, yet proactive, enthusiastic, and pragmatic. You are skilled at building relationships, mentoring, and coaching others, with expertise in Lean and systematic problem solving. Your ability to create structure across multiple projects and interfaces sets you apart.

Additionally, you are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with Power BI, SAP, or similar tools is an advantage. A relevant degree in engineering, project management, or a related field, and formal training in facilitation methodologies or portfolio management will be considered beneficial.

You will join GS Technology, a global team of project managers, engineers, and specialists who deliver more than 100 technology projects annually to Topsoe customers worldwide. As part of this collaborative and innovative group, you will help optimize the value chain across complex technology deliveries—from engineering design and proprietary hardware to site services, commissioning, and start-up support. Working closely with Research and Development (R&D) and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to scaling innovative solutions within Low Carbon, Renewables, and Clean Air. Our team's success is built on strong technical expertise, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the drive to enhance capabilities, efficiency, and competitiveness across the global value chain.
