Who we’re looking for 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our newly established team in Delhi. This team will work closely with our Denmark-based team to support the digitalization of R&D and the deployment of AI solutions throughout Topsoe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, particularly with Python and Flask, and preferential an understanding of our business areas, including engineering, chemistry, or physics. 
 
Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Flask and Python. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features. 

  • Write efficient, reusable, and testable code. 

  • Implement security and data protection measures. 

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications. 

  • Work with MongoDB for database management. 

  • Utilize Docker for containerization and deployment. 

  • Manage code versioning with Git. 

  • Operate within a Linux environment. 

  • Contribute to the digitalization of R&D and the deployment of AI solutions across the organization. 

 

What you’ll bring 

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python application development. 

  • At least 3 years of experience with Flask. 

  • 3 years of experience in Python scripting. 

  • 3 years of experience with MongoDB. 

  • 3 years of experience with Docker. 

  • 3 years of experience working in a Linux environment. 

  • 5 years of experience with Git. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
     

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Understanding of Topsoe's business areas, including engineering, chemistry, or physics. 

  • Experience in the digitalization of R&D processes. 

  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
