Who we’re looking for
Your responsibilities would be:
- Account management
- Strategize and build sales in India
- Communicating progress and roadblocks to the Head of Sales
- Ensuring that our Indian Strategy and Vision are being implemented in a timely manner
- Meeting the agreed business unit sales and profit targets
- Proactive sales of the portfolio value proposition. Identify customer needs and the 'need behind the need' through customer interactions.
- Assess the technical solutions available with Topsoe to support customer needs.
- Study ITBs and clearly define ITB requirements to the proposal engineers from sales point of view
- Prepare technical/commercial proposals for new/replacement catalysts
- Coordinate with respective GS and other business units to prepare an optimal solution based on evolving customer needs.
- Benchmark with historical and industry (competition) data to provide competitive offer to client.
- Tailor Topsoe commercial and technical offering to optimize our customers' economics and positively differentiate Topsoe's offering in relation to those of our competitors
- Constant market research activities, updation of database of existing/potential customers
- Preparation and execution of business plans in line with Topsoe strategy.
- Establishing a broad external network, map each client and building relationships with all relevant bodies and key stakeholders – prepare market reports on clients, competitors, national standards and market environment
- Participate in making client specific and India specific winning strategy with sales and proposal group
- Investigate new market opportunities and develop new strategies for new markets and products
- Ensuring coordination between head office and the Indian office
- Negotiate orders and commercial aspects of supply with clients with inputs from Topsoe
- Ensuring the customers in India receive timely and qualified service both technically and commercially
- Troubleshooting and coordinating service to customers in close cooperation with local technical service organization
- Promotional activities like participating in conferences as speaker and/or attendee, directing advertising and brand recognition activities
- Updation of Salesforce data, Accounts (including Account Plans) in alignment with Customer Segmentation, Opportunities Pipelines, preparation of SAP quotes
- Maintaining all records necessary to archive document at various stages of correspondences, internal discussions, client meeting notes etc
- Track KPIs and other Sales/SAP/budgets as required from time to time
What you’ll bring
The desired qualifications and experience for the role are:
- A degree in engineering, preferably chemical engineering from a reputed engineering college
- Knowledge and extensive experience of the specific industry and customer focus
- Knowledge and experience from a catalyst and/or technology sales position or long operating experience from the industry
- Work experience of 12-15 years in relevant field
- Broad insight in Topsoe technologies and catalysts
