Application Specialist - SAP PP, QM, Digital Manufacturing

As an Application Specialist, you will help run, maintain and develop SAP-supported production processes across Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM) and Digital Manufacturing. You’ll focus on SAP S/4HANA and SAP Digital Manufacturing, helping ensure our production operations are robust, efficient and aligned with business needs.

You’ll work at the intersection of technology and business, collaborating with teams in India and internationally. You’ll also support the transition of activities from Denmark to India, sharing knowledge and helping build strong, sustainable ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Run, maintain and develop SAP-supported production processes using SAP S/4HANA and SAP Digital Manufacturing.
• Provide hands-on configuration and support for SAP PP, QM and Digital Manufacturing, taking a service-minded approach and maintaining clear solution documentation.
• Deliver and stabilise Topsoe’s production-supported processes, working with Global Process Owners (GPOs) to support alignment with global business processes.
• Manage minor projects and change requests independently, and contribute as a functional lead on larger initiatives.
• Support knowledge transfer and the transition of activities from Denmark to India.
• Develop deep expertise in the SAP production area, share knowledge with colleagues and drive continuous improvement in our SAP solutions.
• Keep stakeholders informed about solutions, progress and issues through clear verbal and written communication.

What you’ll bring

• 5–7 years of relevant SAP experience in Production Planning, Quality Management and/or Digital Manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience as an SAP functional consultant, including practical experience with SAP S/4HANA. Experience with SAP Digital Manufacturing is an advantage.
• Experience working as an SAP consultant, including direct client interaction and project implementation. Experience supporting clients or delivering implementations in the European Union is an advantage.
• Strong SAP functional skills. Experience with middleware such as SAP PCo or SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and technical skills in Java or JavaScript, will be an advantage.
• The ability to work collaboratively, share knowledge and contribute proactively to high-quality SAP consulting and support.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to explain solutions, progress and issues clearly to different audiences.

Your new team:

You will join Global IT, Corporate Applications department, and sub-team of: Global Supply (GS) IT Services. The department is responsible for running and maintaining support for IT systems supporting Topsoe GS related processes across: Procurement, Production Planning, Manufacturing. Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Logistics, and HSE.

The IT system support is largely based on SAP technology. The target for the unit is to continuously serve Topsoe GS mission including supporting business productivity targets by offering secure and stable solutions, as well as continuously introduction new technology including AI, while adhering to the SAP roadmap. The SAP organization consists of ~20 deeply skilled SAP colleagues who are experts in functional and technical areas. The team is based in Denmark and India supporting the global organization.
