Test Engineer

The role and impact
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our Power-to-X team, focusing on the electrochemical testing of SOEC stacks. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering high-quality data analysis and conducting impedance spectroscopy to support our mission of advancing stack performance and development.

What you can expect to work on:

  • Designing experiments and processing/analyzing test data to extract valuable insights
  • Managing day-to-day lab operations, including monitoring experiments and planning the next testing steps
  • Modeling testing parameters to predict performance at various operating points
  • Assisting with practical tasks, such as loading and unloading stacks.

 

What you’ll bring 
We are looking for a problem-solver with a proactive, can-do attitude, complemented by a strong sense of collaboration and teamwork. Ideally, you hold a PhD or master’s degree in chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, or a related field. To thrive in this role, you should have strong analytical skills, enjoy hands-on lab work, and excel in collaborating with colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds.

What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Experience in catalyst testing or electrolysis technology, with a preference for expertise in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy
  • Hands-on experience in assembling testing setups and operating pilot units
  • Proficiency in Python (or similar programming languages) for automating data analysis workflows
  • Strong presentation and data visualization skills, as you’ll be expected to present and discuss results with the team
  • Familiarity with characterization techniques related to the materials used in these technologies is a plus, though not required  
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
