Who we’re looking for

An experienced electrical engineer to join our global team of dedicated design engineers and specialists. You will work closely with highly competent engineers in Global Supply, P2X, proposal group and R&D. We complete state of the art design, control, and commissioning activities for production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, Renewable Diesel, and Plastic Upcycling in industrial facilities worldwide. You should expect up to 50-100 days of travel and site activities as per business requirement annually. The open position is located at our headquarters in Lyngby, Denmark, within Instrumentation and Electrical Department in Global Supply Technology Division.

 

Here are some of the things you can expect to be doing:

  • Project execution of Electrical Engineering design packages (Basic and detail design) for electrical equipment within Topsoe technology plants.
  • Preparation of standards, guidelines, layouts for LV/ MV power distribution layouts.
  • Preparation, checking and reviewing of specification for Electrical equipment; Transformers, Thyristor controllers (AC/DC), Bus ducts, etc.
  • Preparation & checking of interface between Electrical and other equipment.
  • Preparation & checking of single line diagrams, control schematics, monitoring and protection diagram, interconnection diagrams.
  • Cable sizing, routing, and Installation Drawings.
  • Having detailed knowledge of hazardous area classifications, Preparation & checking of data sheet hazardous areas and Classification Drawing with Hazardous Area Boundaries.
  • Preparation of fireproofing layouts.
  • Energy/CAPEX/OPEX aspects by introducing various state of the art solutions.
  • Review and advice on layouts, site preparation, electrical schemes, detailed electrical design drawings, Single Line Diagram, electrical data sheets, etc. during technical evaluation stage of bidder’s proposals to assess technical capability and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare Scope of Work and technical specification for electrical subcontracts, RFQ packages for Power supply units, Transformers, and Electrical materials.
  • Doing electrical calculations and generating report via ETAP, e.g. load flow, short circuit, motor study, harmonic studies, etc.
  • FAT / SAT, Commissioning of electrical equipment
  • Supporting Proposals, R&D and Technical service team for technical matters
  • Supporting QHSE manager for electrical matters


What you’ll bring
You have a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 15 years of documented experience working within conventional or renewable process technologies. Your experience in commissioning and plant operation is an advantage.

 

We are looking for personal drive and self-motivation. The ideal candidate can tick off the following: 

  • Willing to work with a team leading various technologies plant design, specifically considering classified area locations per IEC, EN, NFPA.
  • Working knowledge, familiarity, and application of NEC, IEC, ISO, and CE Codes and Standards.
  • Knowledge and application of voltage ranges from 110VAC to 33kV, 3 phase applications.
  • Experience with proper earthing/grounding for protection of equipment and personnel.
  • Ability to manage project requirements and milestones and executing independently.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Have a desire to work within a multicultural team and challenging environment.
  • Willing to travel (national/ international) for site, inspection, and design jobs.
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment in LV/MV power distribution network.
  • Working on electrification of process equipment will be an advantage.
  • Working experience on MV/LV Power supply units, AC/ DC, DC/AC converters
