Senior Legal Counsel (maternity cover)

The role and impact

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel (maternity cover) to join our legal team, supporting our pioneering Power-to-X and R&D initiatives. This is a fixed-term position for a period of approximately 10 months.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting Topsoe’s Power-to-X business, acting as a trusted advisor to help commercialize our green solutions. Your primary focus will be on international contracts for the supply and services of our Power-to-X solutions, as well as supply chain agreements. 

Experience with FIDIC or similar standard form contracts is a strong advantage.

You’ll also work on a variety of legal matters, including:
-    Partnership and collaboration agreements
-    Financial and strategic investments
-    Joint development agreements

Key responsibilities:
-    Provide legal advice and support to Power-to-X and R&D teams
-    Collaborate with technical, strategic, and commercial stakeholders
-    Deliver legal and contract training across the organization
-    Support complex, global legal projects
-    Some travel is expected

What you’ll bring 
-    MA Law degree, cand.merc.(jur.), or equivalent
-    Experience from an international law firm; in-house experience in green energy is a plus
-    Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
-    Ability to present complex issues clearly to diverse audiences
-    Comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment, identifying risks and delivering practical, business-oriented solutions

You’ll join Global Legal, an international team of 15 lawyers across Denmark, the USA, and China, working alongside Corporate Compliance & Governance, Intellectual Property, and the Board Secretariat. Our team is dedicated, high-performing, and values an informal, open, and collaborative culture.
