Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a mechanical engineer who is deadline and solution-oriented and has an eye for detail.

You will be working at the headquarters' engineering office and traveling to destinations all over the world several times a year. By doing so, you will have the opportunity to explore the world of Topsoe's many complex technologies and work on a range of interdisciplinary projects.

This means, that you will:

  • Work with traditional mechanical disciplines such as mechanical design, metallic materials, solid mechanics and welding
  • Take part in the design and development of our proprietary equipment such as convection reformers, ammonia converters, MeOH reactors and sulfuric acid equipment
  • Do calculations, select materials and prepare technical documentation for procurement
  • Review supplier drawings and specifications as well as inspection at fabrication workshops
  • Perform supervision of site installations on a global platform.

What you’ll bring
You are detail-oriented and goal-oriented. As a specialist, you understand the importance of ensuring that advanced mechanical projects, like ours, function flawlessly. Simultaneously, you possess the ability to efficiently complete tasks and meet our customers' deadlines. You are driven and curious, always seeking opportunities to improve designs, workflows, and products to meet future demands.

In addition to the above, it is important to us that you:

  • Hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering
  • Are willing to travel frequently for both short-term and long-term (4-6 weeks in a row) customer support
  • Possess knowledge of the Inventor 3D platform. If you have experience working with it, that would be even better
  • Have strong calculation skills
  • Have a proficient level of English language proficiency.

It would be advantageous if you:

  • Have relevant work experience with metallic materials, solid mechanics, and welding
  • Hold an apprentice certificate or skilled worker certificate
  • Have work experience with pressure equipment, pressureless equipment, and site supervision.

Why join us
As a member of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of our mechanical solutions. You will contribute to the entire Topsoe journey, starting from the design of proprietary equipment and extending to providing on-site guidance to our customers in large-scale chemical plants. You will have the opportunity to work with various genres of the renowned Topsoe process. This role will require regular communication with colleagues in affiliated offices worldwide, as well as our international suppliers and customers.

However, it's not just about the work process. Your future colleagues genuinely value each other and their craftsmanship. Additionally, if you wish to engage outside of the workplace, you can participate in one of Topsoe's many social clubs.

If you would like to be part of a team of skilled and professional colleagues in an informal organization, please submit your application and resume in English and enclose a copy of your references through our website www.topsoe.com.
