Logistics Coordinator with a LEAN mindset

 

The role and impact
You will play a key role in ensuring reliable deliveries of high-quality products at a matching service level to our customers worldwide. You take ownership of the full catalyst order cycle incl. organizing shipments at optimal time and cost by road, sea and air to meet our delivery performance goals. You get the opportunity to engage directly with a wide range of stakeholders both internally across functions and externally with customers and vendors, with whom you build trustful relations by meeting them with a positive mindset as well as clear and timely communication.

What you’ll bring 
To fill the role, you need +2 years from a logistics coordinator position preferably from a supply chain function within a larger company providing a good end-to-end understanding of the supply chain and the financial impacts of supply chain transactions. You are able to handle all the core tasks related to the role including documents and export declaration. If you have special experience with import and bonded warehouse and/or dangerous goods, this could be an advantage.

In addition to this, you’ll bring the following skills and competencies:

  • LEAN mindset and driving continuous improvements
  • Focused and result oriented
  • Ability and flexibility to plan and execute multiple tasks of varying complexity 
  • Structured with respect for details
  • Proactive approach and taking initiative
  • English proficiency (both oral and written) and in addition oral Danish would be an advantage

You’re motivated to join us in continuously developing and documenting our processes and systems/tools in our strive for improved global standards and overall higher LEAN maturity. You will attend projects, and it is a special advantage, if you like and know how to use LEAN tools for structured problem-solving and implementation of sustainable countermeasures through data analysis using BI reports, standard SAP reporting as well as basic Excel.

Your new team
Our Global Logistics team at Topsoe consisting of 18 colleagues in Denmark, where you will be working, 7 in the US and 1 in China. The Danish team consists of several different nationalities, which is why our daily languages in the team are English and Danish. The team is a very skilled and experienced team with a large age range.
