Who we’re looking for
A new talent to join our growing business and to be part of our exciting journey in supporting our customers in converting the waste sulfur of their plants into a profitable product like Sulfuric Acid which helps in their emission reduction goals and also helps the planet to be cleaner. 

 

We are now recruiting for a Licensing Manager to lead and manage a portfolio of technology sales opportunities in Clean Air technologies which includes Wet gas Sulfuric Acid (WSA) technology mainly for the region within Europe and North America.

 

You will be part of Topsoe’s Global Commercial Clean Air division, reporting to our Licensing Director and joining a team of highly experienced licensing managers located globally. We work in an informal and ambitious environment collaborating with a strong network of specialists in the organization.  

 

To be successful in the job, you will need to be able to grow technology sales leads and close deals in complex environments with multiple decision-making stakeholders while following Topsoe commercial guidelines. 

 

You easily interact with key stakeholders in our customers’ organizations as well as with senior management level within your own organization. You are willing to travel and operate across various time zones.

 

Location:
Topsoe headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark

 

Travel will occur as needed, approximately 30-60 days a year.

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Grow WSA Technology business (license, engineering, hardware, services and 1st fill catalyst sales) in the assigned geographical region
  • Develop and recommend sales strategies for WSA technology for different industry segments within the assigned region
  • Lead the technology sales opportunities from creation to closure 
  • Spearhead the preparation of commercial offerings in consultation with relevant proposal managers, Product Line Directors, Account Managers, Project Directors, etc.
  • Input and manage Salesforce (CRM) database to ensure registration and update of own opportunities
  • Manage technology related commercial contracts (incl. amendments and selected change orders) through the various stages of project development and execution, as and when required
  • Build customer network in local market and relevant industries
  • Present and market Topsoe’s WSA technology and commercial offerings at conferences and seminars.

 

What you’ll bring
You have a strong sales mindset, are eager to grow our market share in these technologies and can tick the following:

  • Personal drive 
  • High motivation to proactively engage in frequent conversations with clients
  • Strong understanding of commercial propositions for project and technology sales (pricing, project scope, guarantees, etc.) 
  • Good commercial knowledge about proposal strategy, and contract details 
  • Understanding of legal frameworks and guidelines 
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of relevant technology licensing principles.

 

It will be an advantage if you have:

  • Good appreciation of the markets and industries within which these technologies are deployed and understanding of relevant market drivers
  • In-depth knowledge of the relevant technologies, including hardware, service, and catalyst offerings
  • Understanding of the execution approaches of industrial grass-root or revamp projects
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering and related careers.
