Laboratory Technician for PtX ceramic development

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an experienced and quality oriented laboratory technician to take part in our daily work developing and upscaling ceramic processes and products for solid oxide electrolyzer cells. You will be part of a team of 10 specialists and technicians, and daily work will be organized in cooperation with specialists out of the priorities given in various development projects.
How to carry out experiments is defined in interaction with relevant specialists. Work may include both specifications for and commissioning of new equipment, adjusting or mapping known processes vs QC demands, and developing new recipes with new materials and mapping their properties. We have lab-bench scale equipment as well as larger units on pilot and semi-industrial scale, and cooperate with both our pilot site in Ravnholm and our production site being erected in Herning. We have high safety and quality standards, and documentation of results is shared according to competencies in collaboration with specialists.

 

We enjoy a high degree of freedom to plan our daily work but should also expect a dynamic environment with changing priorities, deadlines and risk to navigate. We share the workload and expect mutual flexibility to get the job done. Some traveling to Herning during commissioning must be expected.
The company language is English for reporting and in most meetings. Our department consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds, with approximately one-third being female and half representing foreign nationalities.
 
What you’ll bring
Education for and experience working with chemicals in an R&D laboratory environment is required. 
Experience working with ceramic powders/suspensions, tapecasting, screen printing or sintering is a major advantage.
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Belief that good relations with several colleagues is paramount to having a good worklife
Diligence, a structured approach, and attention to detail.
Experience working with attention to QHSE parameters is a plus.
We are looking for someone who is cheerful, structured, practical, and enjoys hands-on work.
