Laboratory Manager for Power-to-X

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee the operations of several state-of-the-art R&D laboratories at our new facilities in Hørsholm. This role involves establishing and managing cutting-edge laboratories while supporting innovative research and development efforts.

The role includes setting up new laboratories, ensuring proper documentation, and facilitating a smooth transition for lab users to the new site. Over time, you will take over established workflows from R&D and be responsible for their operation and maintenance. You will lead a small team and collaborate closely with various stakeholders and lab users.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Establishing and maintaining laboratory operational readiness, including equipment maintenance and inventory control
  • Managing day-to-day laboratory operations and ensuring safety and related documentation, including ATEX and chemical handling
  • Driving safety reviews, risk and barrier analysis, and addressing observations, near misses, and incidents to improve health and safety performance
  • Planning and coordinating efficient lab operations and maintenance, including shutdowns, in collaboration with supporting departments
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control standards and protocols
  • Ensuring a Zero Harm culture and compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols
  • Managing laboratory equipment projects, including budgeting and resource allocation
  • Communicating laboratory status, plans, and QHSE information to relevant stakeholders
  •
  • Facilitating smooth collaboration between departments and groups on-site.

What you’ll bring
The ideal candidate will bring a solid technical foundation, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong dedication to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field within experimental natural sciences
  • Proven experience in R&D laboratory management, including safety responsibilities and team leadership
  • Strong analytical skills paired with expertise in laboratory techniques and equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues at all levels
  • A thorough understanding of relevant industry regulations and safety protocols.

A practical mindset, process-oriented approach, and keen attention to detail will be key to success in this role. If you are passionate about technology and eager to contribute to a sustainable future, we would love to hear from you!
