Who we’re looking for

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of Intellectual Property? As Patent Counsel at Topsoe, you will be an integral part of our Global Legal Affairs team, diving into the heart of innovation and cutting-edge technology. Join our fast-paced Intellectual Property team and collaborate closely with brilliant inventors from our R&D department. Your mission? To draft, file, and prosecute patent applications worldwide, safeguarding our groundbreaking inventions.

In this role, you'll also delve into the world of 3rd party patents, conducting Freedom-to-Operate analyses, crafting validity opinions, and playing a key role in oppositions. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complex landscape of intellectual property, ensuring our innovations remain protected and ahead of the curve.
 
What you’ll bring

We are seeking a passionate individual with a degree in chemical engineering or something similar. Ideally, you have passed the EQE and bring valuable experience from an in-house position, though we also welcome candidates from private practice. Your analytical mindset and meticulous approach will be your greatest assets, along with your ability to tackle challenges with a positive and proactive attitude.

You thrive both independently and as part of a team, enjoying the collaborative spirit of an informal, international environment. Your excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, will enable you to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively. A keen interest in the legal aspects of patents and a love for dynamic, science-focused settings will drive your success in this role.
