Group Finance Student Assistant - ESG Finance

 

The role and impact

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Student Assistant to join our ESG Finance team within Group Finance at Topsoe. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in implementing the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Taxonomy, contributing to Topsoe’s sustainability journey.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in implementing CSRD and ESRS requirements, including Double Materiality Assessment, to ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and reliable ESG data through robust internal controls
  • Contributing to the enhancement of ESG data collection and reporting processes, driving continuous improvement and efficiency
  • Playing a key role in the implementation of the EU Taxonomy by supporting data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts
  • Supporting the preparation of ESG reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and quality
  • Taking on ad hoc tasks related to ESG reporting and analysis as needed, contributing to the team’s overall success.

 

What you’ll bring 

To succeed in this role, you bring a genuine interest in ESG topics and sustainability, a proactive approach to execution, and a strong willingness to learn and grow. You have exceptional attention to detail, the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to collaborate effectively across teams.

 

In addition, you:

  • Are preferably currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in finance, accounting, sustainability, or a related field
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular focus on Excel and other big data handling tools and PowerPoint
  • Possess knowledge of CSRD, ESRS, and EU Taxonomy frameworks - this is considered a plus.
