The location of this position is at Topsoe’s HQ in Lyngby, DK.

 

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a Commercial & Contract/Claim EPCM Manager with a strong understanding of EPC(M) contracts and commercial management. 

 

Your role will be crucial in identifying, mitigating, and managing contractual risks from project initiation to final completion of both, internal CAPEX and external EPCM projects for various expansions or new builds of our of our own facilities and also (petro)chemical plants for our clients. You will be responsible for the professional commercial and contractual structure of our own CAPEX projects and to guide or support the sales department during contract negotiations with clients and take ownership of certain parts of contracts.

Your expertise will be a key driver in ensuring the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients. 

 

You identify and mitigate executional commercial and contractual risks, and you support project execution by taking ownership of potential claim risks and opportunities.

 

In this function you report to the Head of Project Initiation & Commercial Management and will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders. 

 

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in project acquisition and execution of industrial plants with economics or engineering degree
  • Certified PM with 10+ years of commercial/contractual EPC experience, ideally from project management in syngas/gas industry or related fields
  • Demonstrated understanding and capabilities of working with Project Management processes, strategies, and methods
  • Demonstrable ability to mitigate risk and lead successful projects 
  • Leadership skills and taking ownership of tasks attitude
  • Strong understanding of EPCM contracts and commercial management
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience in internal and external claim management with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Ability to develop strong, engaging relationships that foster partnership and growth
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Oversee the implementation of contractual improvements.
