Chief of Staff
We are looking for a highly organized, result-oriented Chief of Staff to serve as the operational engine for our Chief Executive Officer and Executive Management team. The role is new, giving you a unique opportunity to influence the operational framework for Topsoe’s top management.
Role and impact
In this high-impact role, you will help run the business by translating CEO priorities into clear actions, strengthening executive governance and ensuring that commitments turn into results.
Your primary focus is operational discipline, tracking execution, and maximizing the efficiency of our executive leadership functions. You will ensure that executive decisions are translated into action, milestones are met, and leadership meetings run with efficiency.
Your most important concrete responsibilities will be to:
- Translate CEO priorities into clear execution plans, milestones, ownership and deadlines
- Establish and maintain a disciplined process for tracking decisions, actions and follow up
- Monitor and ensure progress, identify roadblocks and escalate execution risks early
- Lead the CEO’s operating rhythm and improve the quality and effectiveness of Executive Management meetings
- Prepare agendas, briefing materials and decision papers for internal and external meetings
Besides these tasks, you will lead or coordinate selected CEO-sponsored special projects and ensure alignment and consistent understanding of the CEO’s priorities across the organization. The CEO Executive Assistant and you will work closely together to ensure the CEO’s time is focused on the company’s highest priorities.
After the first 6-12 months in the role, you have contributed significantly to increase the execution speed and accountability on CEO priorities.
The job is based in Topsoe headquarters in Lyngby and requires on-site presence.
What you will bring
Experience from a similar role as chief of staff or a similar senior operational role working with C-suite leaders is essential. Preferably, this experience derives from a global industrial, technology or manufacturing company.
You are motivated by helping leaders succeed and by moving important initiatives from “in progress” to “completed”. Furthermore, you have a natural inclination toward building repeatable processes, checklists, and structured workflows.
In addition, you bring:
- A proven experience with project tracking tools and frameworks to manage complex, multi-stakeholder action logs
- Strong organizational and communication skills, and a track record of turning ambiguity into clear actions and measurable outcomes
- Confidence navigating complexity, competing priorities and organizational dynamics
- Absolute discretion, integrity, objectivity and professionalism
You will operate across the organization with a clear mandate but without formal authority. Success will depend on your strong business acumen, sound judgement, interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.
