Shape the future of Manufacturing as Production Manager in Herning
The role and impact
As the Production Manager at Topsoe’s new Power-to-X factory, you will play a central role in leading and overseeing all aspects of our production operations. Your primary focus will be to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing, while driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
You will lead, motivate, and develop a diverse production team, including team leads, operators, and support staff, creating a collaborative and safety-focused work environment. Your responsibilities will include managing production planning and execution, championing Lean Manufacturing methodologies, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, and maintaining high product quality in close collaboration with the Quality department.
You will also manage resource allocation, monitor key performance indicators, and work closely with cross-functional teams such as Maintenance, Engineering, Automation, HSE, Supply Chain, Quality, Research and Development, Information Technology, and Human Resources to achieve factory goals. As a key member of the factory leadership team, you will contribute to strategic decision-making, budget management, and overall site performance.
What you’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong educational background in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience.
You have a proven track record in production management, ideally within the chemical, industrial, or manufacturing sector, and experience in complex automated manufacturing environments is highly valued.
Your leadership, communication, and people management skills are exceptional, and you have a solid understanding of production processes, quality systems, and HSE standards. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies, as well as relevant IT systems and production management software, is essential. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Personally, you are a collaborative team player, results-oriented, proactive, and possess strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. You thrive under pressure, can manage multiple priorities, and are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
