Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a Chemical Engineer with experience within hydroprocessing, preferably hydrocracking.

This is an opportunity to join our Global Hydrocracking Technical Sales & Service Group, where we support the sale of catalysts and technologies that can help our customers world-wide in producing environmentally friendly fuels. 

As part of our team, you will be involved in the technical part of the catalyst sales process preparing technical proposals and performance evaluations for our customers’ hydrocracking units. You will participate in internal projects to improve our calculation tools and knowledge creation within the field of upgrading heavy fossil and renewable hydrocarbons into valuable products. 

You will be part of a multicultural team that also provides specialized technical services on-site at our refinery customers’ premises with focus on their hydrocracking units, and you will do this together with more than 80 dedicated colleagues within the commercial organization as well as with colleagues from R&D, Global Supply unit (engineering team) and regional offices. You will be in regular dialogue with refineries to provide solutions and required support, which also includes on-site visits with account managers. You may also participate as speaker in seminars, external training courses and webinars.

What you’ll bring
We are looking for a Chemical Engineer who is a team player with good communication skills and a can-do attitude. A high proficiency in both spoken and written English is required to succeed in this role. Knowledge of other European languages will be an advantage but is not a requirement.

• have a good understanding of refinery processes, especially hydroprocessing/hydrocracking,
• have a flexible and solution-oriented way of approaching people and tasks,
• demonstrate initiative as well as technical flair,
• are committed to your work, strive to make a difference, and take ownership of assigned tasks,
• actively seek to strengthen your own knowledge related to the business,
• enjoy traveling and thrive in cross-cultural contexts, and
• have flair for troubleshooting 

You will have an advantage if you have work experience from Technical Service roles or expert skills within Excel and knowledge of VBA/JAVA/Python - programming.
