Who we’re looking for  
We are looking for a chemical engineer with experience in sulfuric acid industry. This is an opportunity to join our Technical Sales & Service team, where we support the sale of catalysts and technologies that can help our Latin America customers in treating gas streams for a cleaner environment or produce valuable chemicals.

As part of our team, you will be involved in the technical part of the catalyst sales process preparing technical proposals and performance evaluations for our customers’ process units in close cooperation with Account managers.

You will be in a continuous dialogue with chemicals, refining and metallurgy plants to provide solutions, troubleshooting, optimisation and required support to their needs, which also includes site visits for meetings, inspections, sampling, data acquisition and advisory services. You may also participate as speaker in seminars, external training courses and webinars.

What you’ll bring 
We are looking for a team player, with good communication skills, a can-do attitude and thrive in cross-cultural contexts. A high proficiency in both spoken and written English is required to succeed in this role. Ideally, you:

• Have a Chemical engineering degree with 2-5 years process or operations experience in refineries or petrochemical plants, preferably sulfuric acid
• have a good understanding of petrochemical, refining or metallurgical processes, especially sulfuric acid production,
• have a flexible and solution-oriented way of approaching people and tasks,
• demonstrate initiative as well as technical flair,
• are committed to your work, strive to make a difference and take ownership of assigned tasks,
• actively seek to strengthen your own knowledge related to the business,
• are able to travel for on site jobs within Latin America for about 60-90 days yearly in 1-2 weeks periods,
• have good proficiency in Ms Office tools with expert Excel skills
